How we became the “Dream Team”: The Story Behind the Magic
There’s a saying: “Teamwork makes the dream work,” and for us, it couldn’t be more true. We literally “clicked” from the first moment we met in 2017. Since then, it’s been a journey of mutual respect, lots of laughs, and, honestly, just good old-fashioned team work! Here’s a look at how we became the “dream team” and why we work so well together.
1. Different Strengths, One Vision
One of the secrets to our success is that we each bring unique strengths to the table, balancing each other out in the best ways possible. We are Capricorn and Virgo, which, according to the Zodiac, equals “power couple”! Where one of us is more strategic with a long-term goal-focused mindset, the other is more detail oriented and analytical. (Can you guess which is which?)
2. A Shared Passion for What We Do
Passion is what got us started in photography, and it’s what keeps us going. We’re both committed to making our clients feel comfortable, confident, and taken care of. This shared vision keeps us in sync, no matter what comes our way on shoot days. That’s what makes us more than just colleagues—it makes us a team.
3. Communication is Key (and So Are Laughs)
Open communication has always been at the heart of how we work. We know each other’s work style, we’re upfront with feedback, and we trust each other to bring the best to every session. And a little laughter goes a long way! We’re serious about the quality of our work, but we never take ourselves too seriously—making work feel less like work and more like something we get to do together. Fun Fact: Our text threads are longer than a CVS receipt (IYKYK) and run the gamut from mom woes, to location or set ideas, to “what are you watching on Netflix”…and so much more!
4. Always Putting Our Clients First
One of the things we’re most proud of is our ability to make clients feel at ease. Whether it’s through subtle posing guidance or making them laugh, our teamwork shines when we’re making people feel comfortable. Our clients have told us that the comfort we share as a team puts them at ease, too—it’s an energy that fills the room and helps everyone relax into the moment. The best feedback we’ve received was a client who referred to her session as “self-care”.
